Eight years ago I designed my first collection for the home embroiderer; that collection was titled Americana. Since I designed that before Anita Goodesign I felt that it was time to revisit the theme. This collection uses traditional patriotic symbols in large scenes with a lot of detail. In addition to the large scenes, there are many smaller designs included to compliment any project. For the projects we created two unique pillows using the corner designs along with a center design.

Welcome to our Jewish traditions collection. This collection has been requested for the past few years and we didn't quite know how to approach it until now. We decided to create a classic elegant collection to honor Jewish traditions. There are beautiful Menorahs, dradle's and star of David. We've included large and small designs to decorate a garment or home decor item. There are also a few quilt designs that would add class to any project. We designed two different table runners for this collection.

There is nothing more beautiful then a lighthouse perched on sand dune with seagulls & sunshine all around. That's the element we tried to capture with the Lighthouses collection. Although it's not just lighthouses, there are also some beach landscapes, sailboats, shells, seagulls & other nautical elements. We realized that lighthouses vary in style from region to region & we think we've chosen the most beautiful ones from around the country for you to embroider.

Finally one for the guys! As you well know there are very few of our collections that are created for mens clothing. With that in mind I decided to create one and to make sure you know what to do with it I called it the Man Pack. These designs look great on summer camp shirts. We created three different shirts using these designs, you can put the designs on either the front or the backs of the shirts, I am sure you will love all of the Tiki, gambling, and golf designs.

We were talking about new ideas in our studio one day and our new artist Rachel suggested "How about dancing fruit with arms, mouths, but with no eyes" I thought it was a little odd, but then she painted an example and they turned out really cute. Each of the fruit and vegetables has character and you will love them. There are 12 different designs in this collection and each design comes in 2 sizes. These designs would look great in any kitchen! You can purchase pre-made tea towels or create your own. There is a tutorial on the CD-Rom that will demonstrate how to create standard tea towels. You can make a tea towel out of linen or good quality cotton. For this collection we used white cotton. For an added touch we added ribbon and other trims shown in our sample tea towels.

There are ten main hats and they are done in both applique and stitched versions.But, you know we didn't stop there, we also did three different scenes and a host of other designs including smaller hats and borders. Embroidery designs fall into many different categories whether it is fashion, home decor or vintage to name a few. The latest trend in embroidery has been a "do it yourself" look or homemade. Now everything we make is obviously homemade, but this collection is a crossover. I like to think of it as hand-stitched with a modern twist. Our inspiration for this collection came from some high-end stores that cater to this particular design style. These designs look great on garments as well as home items like aprons and dishtowels. This is a great collection to experiment and have fun with while you learn new techniques like raw edge applique. The tutorial shows you how to make an apron out of a dishtowel! The aprons were created from a large dishtowels and a smaller purchased hand towel. The fabric was perfect for an apron. The fabric designs on the towel was so decorative on its own that we didn't need to add too much embroidery. We also embroidered these designs on a denim skirt, a jacket and even a knit shirt.
